I am intrigued by the various veils over our visual experiences. Computer screens, filters, and applications have forever changed our perception of human connection, contact and sensory engagement. The “veils” laid over these paintings reflect the ways in which a screen both flattens and distorts the picture beneath. The effect is a vibration between the reality beneath and the surface.
